The client was one of the biggest software giants in the world and Infosys, as a strategic partner, was involved in servicing and maintaining the product of this client. This project was a long term project having deliverables on a Very regular basis with stringent and challenging timelines
I was involved in a Lot of challenging activities and below are the listings of roles/responsibilities during my tenure I had @ Infosys
Lead Application Development:
This initiative was taken for better tracking/communication/information passing/retrieval to-from team & also to create a lot of opportunities for team members to work on cutting edge (.Net) technologies.
The Responsibilities for this role included:
- Lead Dev and DBA of the team which maintained a 3 MUSD portfolio for 300+ internal users who used the in-house developed critical applications
- Responsible for bouquet of applications like User Management, Inventory management, Budget tracker, Leave tracker, effort tracker, issue tracker, etc
- Responsible for End-to-End delivery & maintenance of the application (Requirements gathering, Designing, approval of design, coding, testing, deploying & Maintaining)
- Arranging for Training on .Net Framework on regular basis to share & enhance the knowledge base
- Responsible for migration of work products to customized SharePoint system
Client Deliverables:
- Involved in client (Microsoft) deliverable of maintaining their Product after release (Windows Operating systems). This includes finding potential/known threats/problems, triaging the problems, proposing solutions, fixing problem and testing.
- Automating the manual work in testing so as to improve productivity. Automated 3000+ test cases in a month’s time which grabbed immediate customer attention.
- Domain Expertise in the area of OS and Networking obtained. Network and Systems Monitoring and Management .Gathered rich expertise in DHCP, DNS, DC, TS, QoS, Proxy, and Automations in VB script….
- Responsible for Onsite to offsite knowledge transition and vice versa. This involved interfacing during telecons, reviewing their plans for past and present weeks, reviewing the deliverables before they are send to the client, enforcing process adherence by members for any deliverables….
